about
I wrote this song about a close friendship I had with someone that was also somewhat romantic. There's really three people in the story: myself, her, and one could say God. It's a story about understanding and trusting the love not only with another, but within yourself.
lyrics
There’s a point of view from the other side
From an old friend you won’t lose
But something about them says goodbye
To a path you cannot choose
But they’ve been there before a thousand times
Same stain on the moon
Please tell them that it will be alright
Spring surely turns to June
And there’s a point of view from this side
A burned-out star in space
But they still see it even though it died
And it doesn’t take long to make
The feeling that appears in both their eyes
Two smiles they create
Please tell them that it will be alright
Enjoy your ride with fate
And oh the fire within
It burns through the pyre
That their love is lying in
Please let their hearts begin
To fill this hole that has been made
Please let them mend with poise
And maybe someday they will say
That person filled me with joy
Love lost but not destroyed
